Appearance: Tamaki is one that most would call 'exceptionally' pretty, though easily distinguished as not being of full Japanese blood by the bright blond hair that he possessed. Not only that but his unnatural violet eyes cause him to stand out even more amongst the darker colors that most of his classmates have. His body structure is fairly lean and tall, though he does have muscle and doesn't seem to have any problems with showing it off if there's a reason for it. The body language that he showed in most cases showed more of a relaxed and laid-back personality, though it tended to fluctuate even if his actual body language rarely appeared to. Clothing in most situations was the school uniform from Ouran, but outside of the uniform and outside of the school his wardrobe is a lot more relaxed, seeming to take more to lighter colors and more simple things.
Personality: To most he appears to be a fairly laid-back individual if not a little bit grandiose about his actions, seeming to over act each and every one of his emotions. Though this was within the public view and an act in the big scheme, in a more intimate setting Tamaki was a lot calmer and appeared to understand things a lot better than he would in a large crowd of people. He also tends to make friends, or at least people who would put up with his public actions, fairly easily and tends to stick with them no matter what happened between them.

Though what does go with his public view is that he really isn't the brightest bulb in the box and he has a grand imagination. He's also insanely determined when he sets his mind to something and will not quit until either he realizes it just can not be accomplished or he actually accomplishes his goal.

Abilities/Strengths: One of Tamaki's biggest strengths is his imagination, he has an insanely powerful one and can come up with some of the most far fetched plans that seem to have absolutely no basis to anything that's been mentioned or even attempted. Though the second biggest strength to him is really acting ability, he can at one point be acting one way and shift, almost seamlessly, into another emotion without much notice as to the move. Though this acting ability also tends to show up even when he's not trying to act a certain way, making it harder for him to be taken seriously. He also has a way with words, being able to manipulate his words to convince someone of something that they had no urge to do or to even begin to plan.
Weaknesses: Due to his overacting he's rarely taken seriously, making it a lot harder to get people to believe him. Even those that are close to him don't appear to believe him a good bit of the time due to his over acting. He's also not the smartest person someone would come across, he does have a good bit of school-based knowledge but when it comes to obvious things he really isn't the smartest of types.. With his imagination it tends to get in the way of the real world, making it a lot harder for people to understand when he's in imagination land and when he's being absolutely serious.

History: Tamaki’s life was fairly complicated, even before he was born. This being because he was born out of wedlock by a married business man in Japan and his French mother. The story being that when his father was on a business trip to France he met Tamaki’s mother and fell in love with her, having only married his current wife due to political reasons. For that reason he divorced his lawful wife and tried to bring Tamaki and his mother to Japan to live with him, however this was shot down as his grandmother would not allow it.

Being born as Rene Tamaki Richard Grantaine at the time and raised as a typical French child of a woman who was the daughter of a French aristocrat. However, he was a pretty happy child, making friends fairly easily and learning how to play the piano as he grew older. Though, one day it all came crashing down around him as his mother became sick. There wasn’t much he could do for her except for play the piano to keep her happy, even though she had urged him to not worry about her and to go play. One day Tamaki’s paternal grandmother called, offering a proposition to his mother than she would give her enough money to clear her debt and to keep her healthy as well, but the deal was that she would have to send Tamaki to Japan to be the Suou heir and that she would be forbidden from contacting her son. Ultimately his mother agreed to the deal and Tamaki was sent to Japan .

When Tamaki reached Japan to meet and live with his father he got a rather nasty surprise, that being that he was to live in the second mansion, not the first. The reason being that his grandmother didn’t consider him a true part of the family or of their blood. During the years he tried to be as nice to his grandmother as possible to try and convince her to accept him, though this didn’t make a true impact on his personality as he continued his school years. In fact, in middle school he came up with a crazy idea, to create a club. A club in which to act as a host, this begun with his unlikely friendship with Ootori Kyouya, the youngest son of the Ootori family and the least likely to inherit the family business.

Using his personality and the situations of others he quickly also involved the Hitachiin brothers, Haninozuka Mitsukuni, and Morinozuka Takashi. Once he started high school everything was set into motion, by taking the third music room they began the “prestigious” Host Club of Ouran academy. Everything went smoothly until a supposed boy stumbled in upon their little group and after Tamaki introduced everyone in one way or another the unthinkable happened; the vase they were going to auction off was knocked off its pedestal and smashed by the scholarship student Fujioka Haruhi. Taking this into account “he” was fairly quickly dragged into the club as their dog, to run errands and the like for them.

Though it didn’t last long as when Tamaki removed “his” glasses he found some rather inticing eyes, quickly turning Haruhi into a host and claiming him as the natural type. “His” debt was still there, it was now just a matter of gaining a certain number of customers requesting “him”, this went fairly smoothly for a bit until one of the regular customers, Ayanokoji becomes jealous of “him” taking all of Tamaki’s time and began bullying Haruhi, starting with throwing “his” bag into the pond outside of the school. After Tamaki went to help Haruhi regain “his” wallet things began falling into place.

A few days afterwards Ayanokoji requested Haruhi as her host and after a rather blunt statement that she was jealous Ayanokoji quickly made a scene to look as if Haruhi had pinned her down to the floor. Though this trick didn’t work as Tamaki quickly explained that he knew what she’d done to Haruhi and she wasn’t the type they wanted in the club and that she was banned from returning.

After the situation Tamaki helped Haruhi up and offered another set of clothing since “he”’d been soaked by the twins during the incident. Once he offered the clothes he found out the fact that he was a she and promptly turned red and backed out and soon afterwards had a bit of a freak out over the fact. After have Haruhi explain that she didn’t see a reason to correct them and that she enjoyed the fact that girls were talking to her like that Tamaki kept her as a host but he tried to make sure that everything would stay the same, even as he claimed her as his “daughter”.

Not much else of note happens during the time, save for the “hide the fact that Haruhi is female” incident which was fairly easily solved by Kyouya having a private doctor for who she could see for the yearly physical.

However, everything changed when a challenge from a club from Lobelia Girl’s Academy came to sight. Their challenge was basically attempting to win over Haruhi, in which the Host Club was fearing would happen. However, using a quick move to have the Host Club be both “brothers” and “sisters” they instead learned the truth that she wasn’t going to leave anyway. And then, still in dress, Tamaki was brought to Econtra.
